Pittsburgh International extends Hudson Group contract for 10 years

Travel retailer Hudson group has been awarded a 10-year contract extension at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Pennsylvania. The contract includes the renovation of six stores, totaling 10,900ft² (1,012m²) of concession space.

Brands represented within the contract include Hudson; Sarris Candies; Dunkin’ Donuts; and Ink by Hudson, Hudson Group’s latest bookstore concept featuring a contemporary style and independent shop-inspired ethos.

Eric Sprys, chief commercial officer of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which oversees operation at PIT, said, “Pittsburgh International Airport is committed to providing passengers with an enhanced travel retail, food, and beverage experience.

“Creating a sense of place is a major initiative as we move forward. We’re happy to build on our relationship with Hudson Group and Fraport through our shared vision to provide travellers with an unparalleled mix of local and national brands.”

Joseph DiDomizio, president and chief executive officer of Hudson Group, added, “Hudson Group has had the pleasure of providing Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) travelers with a unique blend of retail options since 2003.
