LinkedIn +

Schiphol Real Estate and VolkerWessels have jointly purchased 90ha (222 acres) of land south of Badhoevedorp in the Netherlands.

A large part of the land, which was acquired from land development company Chipshol, will be used to improve Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s accessibility. The land may also be used for the future extension of Amsterdam’s Noord/Zuid metro line if the project is greenlighted.

VolkerWessels and Schiphol Real Estate will join forces to develop another part of the area to create an urban landscape with commercial real estate.

Schiphol Real Estate is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Schiphol Group.
