VIP complex opened at Langkawi International in Malaysia

Langkawi International Airport in Malaysia has officially opened its new VIP complex situated alongside the main terminal. The annex has been named Kompleks Lang Merah after a species of eagle with red plumage found on Langkawi Island.

The new building covers approximately 6,460ft2 and caters for all VIP guests at the airport. It was developed at a cost of M$4.6m (US$1.3m) and constructed over a nine-month period. Some of the services available at the complex include immigration, customs, Malaysian quarantine and inspection services and health. VIP guests also have free access to wi-fi throughout the building.
