USA-based airport advertising provider Departure Media has completed the installation of two large digital advertising displays at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) in Boone County, Kentucky.

The advertiser used NanoLumens LED installations due to their six-year warranty, lightweight design and ease of maintenance. If a single pixel fails, NanoLumens pledges to replace that particular part of the display without having to remove the entire screen, minimizing downtime. Each screen measures 17ft x 5ft and boasts a 4mm pixel pitch.

Leslie Bensen, president of Departure Media, said, “NanoLumens technology cut the weight by more than half of the existing, 10-year-old multi-panel bezelled video wall, and that meant the installation was undoubtedly easier to complete, while also allowing more flexibility for anchor points and mounting.

“If any repairs ever have to be done, the whole display can stay on the wall while we replace only the section that’s having issues. That’s huge from a maintenance perspective, to be able to quickly address problems without shutting down the area or replacing a large component.”
