An expanded dining area containing seven new restaurants has opened in Terminal 1 (T1) at Lisbon Portela Airport in Portugal. The food court covers an area of 16,740ft2 and comprises a mixture of local and international brands such as Pastelaria Versailles, O Mercado, Cockpit Bar, McDonald’s, McCafé, KFC and Pizza Hut.

One of the local offerings, Pastelaria Versailles, is a renowned bakery in Lisbon that serves a wide range of homemade cakes and other pastries. It also has a rotisserie to cook simple dishes like croquettes and rissoles.

The concept from O Mercado is inspired by the traditional Portuguese markets and serves local specialties such as pastéis de nata and pastéis de bacalhau. There is also a range of fruits, vegetables, hot dishes, salads and tapas. Cockpit Bar serves a range of beverages as well as tapas, bruschetta, hamburgers, salads and sandwiches on the go.
