Wanaka Airport in Otago, New Zealand, has launched a new website and Facebook page providing customers with an online information hub that showcases the airport’s attractions, news and events to visitors and locals.

The new website, wanakaairport.com, is easily accessible across all mobile, tablet and desktop devices and features four main navigation sections – Airfield Users, Airport Guide, Wanaka and Region, and News, Events and Activities.

Key features of the new website, which was designed by Queenstown-based Feast Creative and built by One Fat Sheep, include: easy navigation and accessibility, serving essential information within a couple of clicks; content automatically scaled to fit screen size; online calculators for airfield users to calculate landing and parking fees; large format images showcasing the region’s diverse scenery, experiences and seasons; and feature pages for key events hosted at the airport.

Wanaka Airport operations manager, Ralph Fegan, said the new online tools are a step-change for the airport and will help it build an online profile and engage with interested visitors and locals: “We’re delighted with the result and believe we’ve created a great hub that provides useful information and helps us tell our airport story.

“It’s a great opportunity to profile the range of businesses that operate out of the airport and leverage the events hosted here to a global audience.”
