Cathay Pacific Airways has reopened The Pier First Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) following extensive renovations.

The 22,000ft² lounge is situated at Gate 63 in the Northwest concourse and can accommodate up to 231 passengers in a contemporary, relaxing environment.

The renovated lounge has been designed by London-based Studioilse and features materials such as onyx, limestone and bronze, as well as plenty of plants to create a warm, tactile atmosphere.

The lounge features a retreat area offering complimentary foot massage as well as neck and shoulder massages on request. There are also eight day suites featuring a daybed, a reading light, a mirror and heavy curtains; 14 showers; the Dining Room, which offers a la carte dining for 100 people; the Pantry, which offers grab-and-go items; a Library, which provides a comfortable and quiet place for reading and relaxing; and the Bureau office with six iMac computers for working and web browsing.

The Pier First Class Lounge is open to first class passengers, Diamond Marco Polo Club members, and Emerald oneworld members who are departing or transiting in Hong Kong. Opening hours are from 5:30am until the last departure.
