Condor will move its operations to Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport in summer 2027, under a new agreement with airport operator Fraport.
The relocation was announced during a joint event at the new terminal in Frankfurt. Terminal 3 is one of the largest privately financed infrastructure projects in European aviation and has been designed to increase capacity while incorporating updated technology and sustainability standards.
“With our planned move to the state-of-the-art Terminal 3 in summer 2027, we are consistently continuing on our future-oriented path,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “The modern environment of T3 provides ideal conditions for further growth, operational stability and a premium travel experience for our guests.”
Condor’s move forms part of its broader strategic development and comes ahead of the airline’s 70th anniversary. The airline said the decision also represents a long-term commitment to Frankfurt as a base of operations.
Frankfurt Airport is expanding capacity through Terminal 3 to strengthen its competitive position among international hubs. According to Fraport, the new facility includes updated check-in and baggage drop systems, CT scanners at security checkpoints, digital services and redesigned passenger areas, including a central marketplace and lounges.
“We are delighted that Condor, the second-largest airline in Frankfurt, intends to continue its growth story at Terminal 3 starting in summer 2027,” said Dr Stefan Schulte, CEO of Fraport. “The new terminal offers excellent conditions for this.”
He added that the terminal’s design includes streamlined passenger processes, short walking distances and improved accessibility.
Terminal 3 also features new handling systems, optimized apron connections and digital wayfinding. Fraport said the infrastructure is intended to support stable operations and increased passenger comfort while aligning with the aviation industry’s long-term environmental targets.
The relocation will position Condor as one of the key carriers operating from Terminal 3 once the facility becomes fully operational.
