Airports Authority of India (AAI) is seeking proposals for the operation of the duty free areas at several airports across India. The operator has recently undertaken several construction projects for new international and domestic terminals and is now looking for operators to run the relevant concession areas.

Interested parties are invited to bid for duty free operations at airports in Chennai, Coimbatore, Calicut, Mangalore, Trichy, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow and Amritsar.

AAI has adopted a single stage selection process in evaluating the proposals, which should be submitted through the online e-tendering website. After receiving the proposals, AAI will carry out a technical evaluation which will then help to form a shortlist of qualified bidders. These bidders will be invited to submit financial proposals which will then be ranked, with the highest bidder being selected to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the relevant duty-free concession.
