Domodedovo launches online duty-free

Moscow Domodedovo Airport has digitized its sales of goods and services.

The airport has introduced an online platform for pre-ordering goods from duty-free shops. Pricing on the platform, market.dme.ru, is 7% lower than in stores. The airport also plans to introduce a group-buying feature, where a traveler receives a sharable link to their online bag, enabling friends to add the goods of their choice. The service will automatically place an order.

The new platform features more than 4,000 items from Heinemann Duty Free shops. Having made their selections online, passengers can collect their purchases at the airport. Orders can be changed at the airport without losing the online discount.

Domodedovo plans to use the platform as an e-commerce hub for all service providers at the airport, including food, taxies, business lounges, and so on. It hopes to extend the service to include major Moscow shops.

Moscow Domodedovo collaborated with Mydutyfree to introduce the initiative.
