The Harry Potter Shop has officially opened its doors to passengers at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5. Measuring 600ft², the store will sell over 200 Harry Potter-related items, with many exclusive to the airport. This is the second Harry Potter-themed shop to open in London, with the other at King’s Cross rail station, where JK Rowling set the fictitious Platform 9 ¾ in the best selling novel series.

The opening of the Heathrow branch ties in with the release of a new movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is a prequel set in the same magical world as Harry Potter. Merchandise relating to the film, and also to the West End stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two, will be available in-store. The Harry Potter Shop at Heathrow will be open daily from 5:30am until 10:00pm.

Jonathan Sands, CEO of The Harry Potter Shop, said, “We are proud to be opening The Harry Potter Shop at Heathrow Terminal 5, in partnership with Warner Bros Consumer Products, and look forward to bringing some of our magic to the UK’s most iconic airport.”

Jonathan Coen, Heathrow’s commercial director, added, “We are really pleased to welcome the new Harry Potter Shop to Terminal 5. Harry Potter is loved across the globe, and what better place to buy gifts and souvenirs from the Wizarding World? We hope our customers enjoy everything the new store has to offer as they take a little magic with them.”
