Sydney Airport has become the first airport in Australia to launch an official gift card. Just in time for the Christmas season, it hopes that the card will make the perfect gift for frequent flyers and travelers, family and friends.

A wide range of denominations can be loaded onto each card, from A$20 to A$250, with different presentation and delivery options. The money can then be spent in retail and food and dining outlets at any of the three terminals. To purchase a card as a gift, simple log onto the Sydney Airport website.

There are around 800 brands and 28,000 products available at the airport via Heinemann Tax & Duty Free, with some of the participating dining outlets including Benny Burger by Shannon Bennett, Heineken House and The Bistro by Wolfgang Puck. The gift card can be used at any outlet where eftpos is accepted.

Glyn Williams, Sydney Airport general manager, retail, said, “We are delighted to launch the official Sydney Airport gift card in time for the busy Christmas holiday gifting period. This new gifting initiative caters to the needs of the modern traveler by offering them a new and convenient way to shop and dine at the airport before they fly.”
