Australian air travelers, airports and airlines will need to use new guidance on packing restrictions from June 30.
A new guidance and search tool on the Civil Aviation Safety Authority’s Pack Right. Safe Flight website has been available since March 2025, replacing the ‘Can I pack that?’ web and mobile apps that will cease to be available after June 30.
Airports and airlines are reminded to update any content, manuals or procedures that reference the old apps as the new search tool contains the most up to date information. This includes instructions on traveling with dangerous goods or packing lithium batteries.
