Denver International Airport, Colorado, USA, is set to double the number of electric vehicle charging stations available in its public parking garages.
In autumn 2015, the airport will install 10 new charging stations in the west parking garage. These new stations will operate at 240v and will provide up to 20 miles of range for every hour charged. The stations will be free to customers who pay to park in the garage.
In 2013, the airport installed 10 charging stations in the west and east parking garages that operate at 120v and provide five miles of range for every hour charged. The airport also recently installed five 240v charging stations in the parking lot that serves airside employees as part of the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Workplace Charging Challenge program.

“The charging stations – along with other initiatives, including water bottle filling stations, LED lights and our comprehensive deicing fluid collection and recycling system – all contribute to our commitment to sustainability while simultaneously improving our customer experience.”
