<p>The project forms part of Manchester Airport Group’s £1.3bn (US$1.7bn) transformation of the UK’s third-largest airport, which aims to expand capacity and increase passenger throughput from around 2,300 passengers per hour to 7,000.</p>
<p>Delivered in collaboration with contractors Mace Group and BAM Construction, the wayfinding program took two years to complete, covering the design, production and installation of signage throughout the airport approach, forecourt, check-in and departure areas, and the pier.</p>

<p>Terminals will no longer have number and letters, which 30% of daily passengers report difficulties with. Instead, they will have only a number.</p>
<p>The numbering of the terminals will follow the flow of passengers arriving by road and the RER train.</p>

<p>Made accessible through ADR’s WhatsApp chatbot and the ADR website, it provides passengers with live flight updates, guidance on airport services, and personalized recommendations to enhance the experience in the terminal.</p>

<p>Beyond the terminal, this map includes information and directions for TUS parking facilities, rental cars and the Global Enrollment Center operated by US Customs and Border Protection.</p>

<p>The ‘Autism Friendly Spaces’ quality label was created within a wider program, which is managed by Prisms, Autism Europe and several other entities, with the aim of supporting organizations in making places and everyday experiences more accessible to persons who are on the spectrum.</p>
