<p>Construction has begun on the extension, which will infill space between the existing terminal and the departure gates. The project is designed to support an increase in capacity to 12 million passengers per year.</p>
<p>The expanded terminal will increase floor space by nearly 45% and include 17 new retail and food and beverage units, bringing the total number of outlets to 38.</p>

<p>The two organizations have produced a technical report examining how a liquid hydrogen refueling system could be built and operated at Bristol Airport to meet the requirements of emerging hydrogen-powered aircraft. The airport said the work represents a step toward enabling zero-carbon regional aviation.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400">Macquarie will take a 55% stake in Bristol Airport, 26.5% in Birmingham Airport and 25% in London City Airport, with the terms of each transaction undisclosed. The London City acquisition reached financial close at the same time as signing, while the acquisition of ownership stakes in Bristol and Birmingham airport are expected to reach financial close by Q4 2025, following the satisfaction of regulatory approvals.</p>

<p>Alongside a larger terminal building, the proposals also include improved walkways directly serving aircraft to reduce passenger transport to aircraft by bus.</p>

<p><strong>Local youth charities</strong></p>
<p>The new five-year, A$875,000 (US$500,000) partnership agreement with Western Chances will provide scholarships, employment opportunity programs and ongoing support to hundreds of young people in Melbourne’s west.</p>
<p>Since 2004, Western Chances has assisted more than 4,000 young people in Melbourne’s west to fulfill their potential through scholarships and free access to programs, enabling recipients the access to education and support they need.</p>

<p>Security services at the airport includes but is not limited to the staffed security of its passenger and staff screening areas.</p>
<p>Suppliers are able to express an interest and submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) through an e-tendering system by June 24, 2024.  PQQs will be shortlisted in July with tender invitations issued during the week commencing July 22.</p>

<p dir="ltr">All passengers flying from Bristol Airport from June 14 will benefit from the new enhanced technology and processes. Passengers will no longer have to restrict toiletries and liquids to 100ml bottles and will be able to leave laptops, tablets and mobile phones in their hand luggage as they pass through security screening. </p>

<p>Setting out a roadmap for drones and novel electric aircraft in the UK, the plan details how the technology could transform skies, with studies estimating drone technology could boost the UK economy by £45bn (US$57bn) by the end of the decade.</p>

<p>The contract will see DHL deliver core customer service and logistics operations at Liverpool airport including check-in, bag-drop, baggage logistics, gate management, aircraft loading, dispatch and pushback.</p>
<p>As part of the contract, DHL will also introduce electric equipment, with a target of transitioning to a 90% electric fleet by September 2024.</p>
