Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) is a state-owned special purpose vehicle (SPV) responsible for delivering national strategic investments in transport infrastructure with significant European added value and global reach.
The CPK Project is built on three key pillars: the development of a new airport hub, the construction of new high-speed rail lines, and complementary investments in the vicinity of CPK Airport.
CPK Airport and a major rail hub will be built in central Poland, 37 kilometres southwest of Warsaw. In its first phase, the new terminal will accommodate 34 million passengers annually from 2032, with plans for potential expansion to 60 million.
A key component of the CPK Project is the construction of a 480-kilometre Y-shaped high-speed rail line linking Warsaw and the new airport with major Polish cities, including Łódź, Poznań, and Wrocław. The first section, connecting Warsaw, CPK Airport, and Łódź, is expected to be operational by 2032, with full completion of the line by 2035. This high-speed railway will be essential for implementing Poland’s Integrated Railway Network plan and completing the European TEN-T network. As a result, it will significantly enhance connectivity in Central and Eastern Europe, linking European capitals such as Vilnius, Warsaw, Berlin, and Prague.
Additional investments within the CPK Project will transform the surrounding area into a fully integrated airport hub, catering to both people and businesses while creating a dynamic, well-connected centre for commerce and travel. These developments include the modernisation of a motorway, the construction of new local roads, and the development of key infrastructure such as warehouses, logistics and conference centres as well as hotels and office spaces.
