Commercial real estate and facilities management firm United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC) has completed Phase II of the installation of a new state-of-the-art automated car parking system at Kuwait International Airport.

The car parking garage system, the first-of-its-kind in Kuwait, will help streamline vehicle traffic in and out of the parking garage and will reduce congestion, especially during peak hours and busy travel seasons.

UPAC operates and manages all commercial space at the airport, including the airport mall and parking garage, with 2,200 spaces for long and short-term parking. Earlier this year UPAC completed Phase I of the project by installing the new system at all the existing entries and exits for both the long and short-term parking.

UPAC has now completed Phase II of the project by installing two auto pay units in the airport terminal. These units reduce the waiting time for visitors, who can now pay their parking fees at the new kiosks.

Nadia Akil, CEO of UPAC, said, “We are excited to be the first company to introduce this advanced car parking technology to Kuwait. At UPAC, our priority is to manage the airport efficiently and that includes ensuring visitors have the best experience. We are confident the new automated car park technology will make parking at Kuwait International Airport more user-friendly, smoother and quicker.”
