Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates has been named as the best airport for layovers at the Condé Nast Traveller Middle East Readers’ Choice Awards 2015, held at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah hotel on November 11, 2015.

Dubai Airport was awarded the top prize due to its 24/7 availability of a variety of food and beverage options, its selection of retail brands, the comfort of its airside hotels, and additional services such as concourse spa treatments and sleeping pods. The runners-up for the ‘Favourite Airport for a Layover’ category included Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, and Changi Airport in Singapore. Condé Nast Traveller Middle East began the online voting process in July 2015.

Anita Mehra, vice president of communications and business development at Dubai Airports, the airport operator, said, “We are very thankful to our customers for this recognition, and for endorsing our efforts to enhance the range, choice and quality of our service offerings at Dubai International.”
