The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has opened a new TSA PreCheck application center at San Antonio International Airport in Texas, USA.

TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program that enables travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt. They can also keep their laptop in its case and 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels in a carry-on bag. To date, there are more than 330 application centers across the US, including 37 centers at 34 airports.

To apply for TSA PreCheck, US citizens and lawful permanent residents must go through a pre-enrolment process online at tsa.gov. They are then required to visit an application center to provide biographic information, fingerprints, valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation, and a fee of US$85 for a five-year membership.
