Readers of Australian Traveller magazine have voted Sydney Airport as the best airport in Australia at the People’s Choice Awards 2015. The airport was acknowledged for its customer experience offering including its revitalized retail, food and beverage precincts.

The magazine said, “Breezing through Sydney’s domestic terminals is an absolute pleasure, with great shopping and coffee, and restaurants such as MoVida to get you in the holiday mood.”

The airport’s new T2 dining precinct features a number of healthy dining, gourmet and street food options including burger restaurant Chur Burger and health-food market SumoSalad Green Label. The enhanced retail area includes stores from Desigual and Bath & Body Works, as well as a Lorna Jane Active Living Room where passengers can sign up for yoga sessions.

Kerrie Mather, managing director and CEO of Sydney Airport, said, “We’re delighted to be recognized by our passengers and visitors as the best airport in Australia. The People’s Choice Award is a strong endorsement by passengers of the improvements we have made to our terminals to deliver more choice and greater value for passengers.”
