Global retail operator Westfield organized a day of entertainment and free gifts for passengers in Terminal 5 (T5) at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, USA, as part of a social media campaign called #SayHappy.

Throughout the day, T5 passengers were presented with free meals from restaurants and free gifts from retailers, including a dozen big-ticket items from luxury brands such as Michael Kors and Emporio Armani. Travelers were also entertained by DJs and bands disguised as ordinary travelers. The delight of passengers was then captured by Westfield employees and shared on its social media accounts.

Eileen Hanson, vice president of marketing for Westfield’s Airports division, said, “A world-class customer experience is more than great shopping and dining, it’s people who make the difference. We believe in creating a personalized journey – a journey marked by engaging service and memorable moments to ‘wow’ our customers.”
