Beumer showcases CrisBag ICS tote-based baggage system at San Francisco international Airport

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) partnered with the Beumer Group to implement an advanced individual carrier system (ICS) baggage handling solution. The goal of the project at Harvey Milk Terminal 1 was to reduce total cost of ownership with a common-use model, supporting all Airlines serviced by the terminal as well as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The Beumer CrisBag tote-based system at SFO is the first ICS system approved by the TSA for in-tote baggage screening, which minimizes time spent with manual bag handling. 100% track-and-trace technology is used, ensuring each bag is tracked and monitored from check-in to baggage claim.

Watch the video to see how SFO was able to reduce total cost of ownership, and maximize operational efficiency with the first ICS system in the USA.
