Rohde & Schwarz displays walk-through scanner
Rohde & Schwarz’s QPS Walk2000 walk-through scanner is designed to improve screening efficiency and threat detection in busy airports. Using millimeter-wave technology combined with AI and machine learning, the system can identify metallic and non-metallic threats, including weapons, explosives and emerging risks such as 3D-printed weapons. Unlike conventional scanners that require passengers to stop and pose, the QPS Walk2000 allows people to walk through at a normal pace while threats are detected in real time and highlighted on an avatar for targeted checks. Andreas Hägele, Rohde & Schwarz’s VP of microwave imaging, said, “The Rohde & Schwarz team is excited to be here at PTE World. Stop by our booth to discover how our security screening solutions for aviation are transforming airport security with comfortable walk-through screening”

Assaia introduces next-gen stand and gate management system
StandManager is Assaia’s next-generation stand and gate management solution. The AI-powered resource management system helps airports decide where aircraft should park and for how long. Unlike traditional tools using fixed buffers and static schedules, StandManager analyzes live operational data to automate stand and gate allocation while calculating predictive buffers for each flight. By adjusting to changing conditions, it can reduce idle time between arrivals and departures, increasing gate capacity by up to 5%. It complements Assaia’s ApronAI platform to help airports maximize existing infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. “PTE World is always a great place to catch up with industry colleagues and exchange ideas on how airport operations are evolving,” said CEO Christiaan Hen. “We’ve just launched a new solution, so it’s particularly exciting to be here and have those conversations in person.”

ADB Safegate explains how to turn airside data into action
ADB Safegate is presenting its new approach to managing airside operations, from prediction to action. Today’s airport apron generates vast amounts of data, but it is often scattered across separate systems and stand equipment. Intelligent Apron connects this infrastructure into a unified, data-driven ecosystem, transforming isolated hardware into an intelligent operational network. This enables airports to anticipate disruptions earlier and respond automatically, improving safety, efficiency and predictability across turnaround operations. Global marketing director Ilya Burkin said, “PTE World is always an incredible opportunity to connect with airport leaders from around the world. We’re proud to be here demonstrating how ADB Safegate is turning airside data into action”

Smiths Detection presents integrated screening solutions
Visitors to Smiths Detection’s booth are discovering Hi-Scan 6040 CTiX, the company’s flagship checkpoint CT system, which allows passengers to keep liquids in containers of up to two liters inside their bags, helping to increase throughput and reduce re-screening without compromising security. Visitors are also learning more about AI-powered threat detection, remote baggage screening and connected checkpoint capabilities, alongside training offers including the company’s Virtual Training Centre and Image Interpretation Training. Company president Jerome de Chassey said, “PTE World brings together the global airport community at a time when aviation is being reshaped by rising expectations, operational complexity and faster cycles of innovation. It provides an important platform to exchange perspectives on where the sector is heading and how airports can build a future that is safer, smarter and better connected.”
