Assa Abloy has signed an agreement to acquire Gunnebo Entrance Control, a provider of entrance control systems, including passenger e-gates and security doors. Its systems have been provided to multiple airports such as Sofia and Madrid-Barajas and with airport operators including Swedavia.
In June, Gunnebo Entrance Control launched HiSec Nova, a new security portal introducing three new technologies covering occupancy detection, drive control and system intelligence.
Gunnebo Entrance Control has around 670 employees. The company is headquartered in the UK with manufacturing sites across Europe, the USA and Asia. Sales for 2025 amounted to approximately €151m (US$174m). When the acquisition is complete, Gunnebo Entrance Control will be part of Assa Abloy’s Business Segment Pedestrian within the Entrance Systems Division.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions and is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2026.
