The inaugural PTE Asia opened this morning (September 23) at Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore, bringing the airport community together for two days of exhibition, conference content and networking.
Like PTE World, which has been running for 28 years, PTE Asia combines a free-to-attend exhibition with a high-level conference, connecting airport leaders, industry experts and solution providers from across the region.
Day 1 got off to a positive start with welcome addresses from several speakers, including Murali Pillai, senior minister of state for Singapore’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Law, and Jayson Goh, executive vice president of airport management at Changi Airport Group. PTE Asia and CAAC News Co. Ltd then signed an international strategic cooperation MOU.
In the afternoon, while expo visitors discovered cutting-edge technologies, solutions and services from global innovators transforming airport design, construction and operations, the successful applicants in the Changi Airport tour ballot headed out to experience the airport up close and find out about plans for the next generation of smart terminals, including sustainability, passenger experience and seamless connectivity.
