Forty-seven Stop the Bleed kits are being installed throughout Yeager Airport in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

The kits were purchased through a US$15,000 grant from the Kanawha County Commission, as part of the Kanawha County Public Safety Grant.

“Our top priority is the safety of everyone who walks through the airports doors,” stressed Yeager airport director Nick Keller. “We hope these kits aren’t needed, but we want to be prepared.”

The Stop the Bleed kits contain tourniquets and other supplies that can provide quick, life-saving assistance. They will be installed next to AEDs throughout the airport, and will also be carried by every Yeager Airport police, maintenance and operations vehicle.
