Baggage handling specialist Alstef has been appointed by airport operator Aéroports de Montréal to replace and install the new baggage-screening equipment at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport in Quebec, Canada.

Alstef will replace the two existing VIS 108 machines with two Standard 3 CTX 9800 machines, manufactured by Morpho, and dismantle the two existing obsolete CTX 9000 tomography machines. It will also create a storage line for baggage waiting to be processed.

The first CTX 9800 machine will become operational in early July, and the second will run from December 2015.
