Singapore Changi has retained its title as the World’s Best Airport 2026 in the Skytrax World Airport Awards, presented at PTE World in London, March 18. This is the 14th time that the airport has received this top accolade. This year it has also won four other major awards: World’s Best Airport Dining, World’s Best Airport in the 60-70 million passenger category, World’s Best Airport Immigration Service and Best Airport in Asia.
Seoul Incheon Airport ranked second and also received the award for World’s Most Family-Friendly Airport.
Japan’s Tokyo Haneda Airport remained third in the global ranking, and was also named World’s Cleanest Airport (Major Airport), World’s Best Domestic Airport and as the airport that delivers the World’s Best Airport PRM & Accessible Facilities.
Hong Kong International Airport moved up to fourth globally, and received awards for the World’s Best Airport Washrooms and the World’s Best Airport Security Processing.

Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya, Japan, was a repeat winner of the World’s Best Regional Airport award, and the Best Regional Airport in Asia title.
Japan’s Aso Kumamoto Airport received the award for World’s Best New Airport Terminal.
Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport collected the award for World’s Most Improved Airport, with a considerable global rating improvement on previous years, reflecting the recent opening of its newly upgraded international Terminal 2.
Paris CDG Airport won Best Airport in Europe for a fourth consecutive year, and its sister airport, Paris Orly, was awarded Best Regional Airport in Europe.
Japan’s New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido won a major award as the World’s Cleanest Airport (for up to 30 million passengers).
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport enjoyed a repeat success by winning World’s Best Airport Baggage Delivery.
Houston Airport System remained dominant in the World’s Best Airport Art category, winning for the fourth successive year.
Rome Fiumicino Airport was named Best Airport in Southern Europe, Helsinki Vantaa Airport was Best Airport in Northern Europe, and Budapest Airport won the Best Airport in Eastern Europe title again.
Munich Airport had another successful evening, winning the awards for the Best Airport Staff in Europe, and as the Best Airport in Central Europe.
Cape Town Airport was the major award-winning African airport, receiving two accolades as the Best Airport in Africa and Best Airport Staff Service in Africa.
Delhi International Airport was announced as the Best Airport in India & South Asia, and Hyderabad Airport received the award for Best Airport Staff Service in India & South Asia. Bangalore Airport collected the award for the Best Regional Airport in India & South Asia.
In light of the ongoing conflict in the region, Hamad International Airport withdrew from PTE World 2026 and the World Airport Awards 2026. The airport said that the safety and well-being of passengers, staff and their families remains its priority, and thanked aviation partners and stakeholders for their continued support.
