Veovo has announced at PTE World 2026 that it has been selected, in partnership with OneAlpha, by Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to implement a new slot coordination system to improve capacity management across the airport.
The system is designed to provide a more coordinated view of demand and capacity, helping SEA make more informed scheduling decisions and improve alignment with airline partners.
According to Veovo, the platform evaluates slot requests daily and assesses them against runway, apron and terminal capacity. This approach is intended to provide a more complete picture of constraints across the airport, rather than focusing only on runway availability.

When capacity limits are reached, coordinators receive alerts and can either approve requests beyond limits or suggest alternative timings. The system is intended to support earlier intervention and reduce the risk of congestion developing later in operations.
Airlines will be able to submit and track slot requests through a self-service portal, which Veovo said will improve transparency and reduce the need for manual coordination. All requests are processed in line with IATA Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines, with an audit trail available for the airport and airline users.
The platform also includes scenario planning tools, allowing SEA to model changes such as terminal reassignments, stand configurations and runway availability using live seasonal data. Real-time reporting tools, including use reports and heatmaps, provide insight into how demand, growth and infrastructure changes affect capacity.
By incorporating apron and terminal constraints into slot coordination, the system aims to align schedules more closely with how the airport operates in practice and support more efficient use of existing infrastructure.
“We are pleased to work with SEA to support coordination and decision-making that reflect how airports actually operate,” said James Williamson, the CEO of Veovo. “The focus is on delivering integrated airport environments that support a more resilient and holistic approach to managing constrained capacity.”
