In our chat with Daniel Ketchibachian, the CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina, following his enlightening presentation titled ‘Argentina: a success story in airport infrastructure investment,’ at the PTE World Conference, it immediately became clear that Argentina has an exciting aviation future in store. Passenger numbers are growing, and Aeropuertos Argentina – which operates 37 airports in the country – has big plans to boost these volumes even further.
“I always say that bricks come before airplanes,” he reported. With this in mind, the airport operator is currently developing six new terminals and three new runways, to increase the number of destinations that can be reached from Argentina, particularly in Asia and the Middle East. “We want to say yes to everyone,” he added.
He also told us about the operator’s plans to improve the passenger experience, with hyper-personalization very high on the agenda.
