Munich Airport has launched its first Padel Days event, transforming the forum of the Munich Airport Center (MAC Forum) into what the airport describes as the largest padel arena in the region. The event runs through September 6, 2026.
Around 5,000 visitors attended the opening weekend, trying the sport themselves and taking in the first events on the program. The venue features three specially constructed courts and is aimed at both beginners and experienced players.
The event is held under the patronage of Dr Markus Söder, Minister-President of the Free State of Bavaria.
Dr Jan-Henrik Andersson, chief commercial officer at Munich Airport, gave the welcome address at the official opening. He said, “With the Padel Days, we are bringing one of the most dynamic sports of our time to a truly special venue. For many years, the MAC Forum has been known for extraordinary events that bring people together, create excitement and demonstrate that Munich Airport is much more than a transportation hub. With the premiere of the Padel Days, we are continuing this tradition by offering top-class sport, an attractive experience for our passengers, guests, employees and the local community, and above all, the opportunity for everyone to get actively involved.”
The Munich City Championships and the Bavarian Championships, which will be hosted at Munich Airport during the event period, are fully booked.
The Padel Days venue is open daily from August 15 through September 6, 2026, from 8am to 10pm, with operating hours varying on selected tournament days. Visitors can reserve court time through a daily Book & Play program.
