Riga International Airport in Latvia has started a weekly lottery competition from today (June 29) to encourage passengers to arrive at the airport at least one-and-a-half hours prior to their flight.

The lottery has been arranged in conjunction with ATU Duty Free and Latvian low-cost carrier AirBaltic, and includes prizes such as RIX Club privilege cards for the airport; two return tickets for any airBaltic destination; coupons for cash prizes of €1,000 (US$1,115), €150 (US$167) and €75 (US$84); and access to the fast track security checkpoint.

To participate, passengers will need to arrive at airport security at least one-and-a-half hours prior to departure and then complete and drop off the lottery applications found at specially prepared kiosks.
