Pontus Tagesson has been announced as the new airport manager at Ronneby Airport in Sweden from November 3.
He will succeed Arri Kallonen, who will leave Swedavia at the end of the year to develop his own business.
Tagesson has extensive experience in senior positions in industry, energy and finance. He joins the airport from NKT Karlskrona, an offshore power cable company, where, as director of planning, he was responsible for the operational planning of the company’s facility in Karlskrona.
Prior to that, he held several management roles in project control, business development and strategic development, including at E.ON and Nordea.
Karin Öhrström, director of regional airports at Swedavia, said, “We are very happy to welcome Pontus to Swedavia and Ronneby Airport. His strength in leadership, focus on business and experience from complex operations will be a strong addition as we continue to develop the airport as an important node for Blekinge and southern Sweden.”
Tagesson commented, “I’m really looking forward to taking on the role of airport manager for Ronneby Airport. The airport is important for both connectivity and regional development, and I look forward to working with my colleagues and partners to develop our operations and business with a focus on future needs and sustainable development.”
