Singapore Changi Airport has been named as the World’s Best Airport in the 2019 Skytrax World Airport Awards. It is the seventh consecutive year the airport has claimed the top prize, and the tenth time in the 20-year history of the awards. The Skytrax awards were presented during a ceremony at Passenger Terminal Expo in London, UK.
The awards are voted for by customers in an annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The survey assesses customer service and facilities across over 550 airports. Questionnaires were completed by airport customers of more than 100 nationalities during a six-month period. The survey evaluated the customer experience across check in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security/immigration and departures.

In the top ten World’s Best Airport ranking Tokyo Haneda improved one place from 2018, now ranking number two in the world, with Hamad International also moving up one position to take fourth place in the 2019 results. Incheon International Airport ranked third, and Hong Kong International, Nagoya’s Centrair Airport, Munich, London Heathrow, Tokyo Narita and Zurich all maintained their positions in the top ten.
