Auckland Airport in New Zealand has partnered with travel-organizing specialist TripIt, part of the Concur Group, to introduce a new app that will help passengers have a seamless and stress-free travel experience at the airport.

The new Auckland Airport app will provide users with a host of new features including information on food and beverage offerings, the ability to book transport to and from the airport, the option to download an offline map for the intended destination, as well as the functionality to add multiple journeys to an app itinerary.

Jason Delamore, general manager of marketing and communications, Auckland Airport, said, “The new Auckland Airport app has numerous additions that will allow travelers a one-stop planning tool to make their airport and travel experience better – regardless of airline or class of travel.

“The app includes features such as live notifications of when to leave home to catch a flight, taking into account real-time flight information and traffic congestion. It also provides an easy way to make parking and lounge reservations and duty-free purchases online. Travelers can also access the latest information on the exchange rate, weather and local time at their destination.

“The app’s benefits extend well beyond Auckland Airport. Our partnership with TripIt allows users to keep all their travel plans – from flights and hotel reservations, to rental cars and activities – organized and in one place.”

Jugdeep Bal, Concur’s senior director of business development for TripIt, said, “By focusing on making the process of flying in and out of Auckland as easy as possible, the team at Auckland Airport is building a one-of-a-kind experience for travelers that we’re thrilled to be a part of.”
