Electronics manufacturer LG has extended its partnership with CNN Airport Network to install 26 new LED displays at San Diego International Airport. The new screens will serve 49 of the airport’s 55 gates and will show CNN Airport Network’s 24/7 high-definition news, entertainment and sports programing.

Debbie Cooper, president of CNN Airport Network, said, “LG’s leadership in advanced displays for the transportation industry complements CNN Airport Network’s compelling, entertaining and timely programing for busy, on-the-go air travelers. CNN Airport Network is dedicated to meeting the needs and interests of our audience, and our long-standing alliance with LG is key to fulfilling that mission.”

Further upgrades are also planned at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, where around 200 new LG displays are being deployed, and in Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport, where dozens of displays are being upgraded to new thinner-bezel models.

William Cho, president and CEO at LG Electronics USA, said, “Nowhere is LG’s strength in advanced digital signage more evident than in LG displays at the nation’s leading airports from coast to coast.

“The CNN Airport Network significantly enhances the gate experience, and we’re proud that LG displays bring their compelling content to millions of business and leisure travelers.”
