Food and beverage and retail have been made contactless at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru to help control the risk of coronavirus.

Measures have been put in place, including pre-ordering food to minimize waiting times and employing contactless payment methods, with the use of smartphone QR codes, to help avoid human interaction in the passenger journey.

The airport operator, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), has upgraded hygiene procedures through measures including frequent cleaning, sterilization and providing staff with personal protective equipment.
