This video shows the latest addition to the team at Hong Kong International Airport – an intelligent sterilization robot (ISR).

The robot, which moves autonomously, can sterilize up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses in the air and on surfaces using UV light, 360° disinfection spray-heads and 0.3μm air filtering. The sterilization process can take as little as 10 minutes.

The technology was developed in Hong Kong and to date the ISR has been used mainly in hospitals. Hong Kong International Airport is the first in the world to deploy the sterilization robot in airport operations.
