“Aviation is fundamental to the British economy – 302 million people traveled through UK airports last year, and over 2.4 million tonnes of high-value cargo,” he says. “These are very impressive numbers and they illustrate just how incredibly important aviation is to our nation.
“Of course,” he adds, “we also have to think about how we make it more sustainable and protect the skies and Earth for future generations.”
