Stansted Airport has big ambitions: to create one of the largest terminals in the world. Its extension plans have been approved and will see capacity grow to 43 million passengers a year.
In this interview conducted after their presentation at the PTE World Conference in London, Chantal Lontay from airport operator MAG and Isabella Leone from Gensler explain how Stansted is using Gensler’s PerformaX, a parametric, data-assisted simulation tool, to bridge the gap between experiential design and commercial strategy, improve the passenger experience and increase revenue at the airport.
