Zurich’s Center Bar gets new look and owners

The Zurich-based, family-run business Candrian has revealed a new look for the airport’s Center Bar and Kitchen following a two-month renovation.

The Center Bar and Kitchen in the Airside Center seats around 220 people. Before departure, passengers will be able to enjoy delicacies from the wider Asia region, including signature dishes such as Ahi tuna poke, Hainan chicken, Massaman beef curry and a variety of freshly prepared sushi creations. The restaurant is open 365 days a year from 5:00am to 11:00 pm – the longest opening hours in the Airside Center – and is only accessible to passengers with a boarding pass.

During its two-month renovation, the restaurant was completely refurbished, with special emphasis placed on the use of high-quality materials. All of the furniture is handmade.

Guests can enjoy a quick coffee or aperitif at the bar or order from the extensive à la carte menu.

Stefan Gross, chief commercial officer of airport operator Flughafen Zürich, said, “Through our collaboration with Candrian, we are delighted to be increasing the presence of local restaurateurs at Zurich Airport. The Center Bar and Kitchen is especially important for the ambience in the Airside Center and offers the perfect starting point for a trip.”
