Menzies Aviation has opened a new Pearl Lounge at Hurghada International Airport (HRG) in Egypt, the third Pearl Lounge at that airport and the 24th in the country.
Situated in Terminal 1, the international lounge operates 24 hours a day with seating for up to 50 guests. It is open to all travelers via walk-in or online booking, with amenities including complimentary wi-fi, hot and cold buffet options, and non-alcoholic beverages, including halal and vegetarian choices.
Menzies now operates Pearl Lounges and meet-and-assist services at eight airports across Egypt, including Sharm El Sheikh, Sphinx, Marsa Alam, Aswan, El Alamein, Luxor, and Borg El Arab. Two others are planned to open at Aswan International Airport (ASW) and Luxor International Airport (LXR) in the coming months.
The Hurghada lounge was officially inaugurated earlier this month at a ceremony attended by airport leaders, airline representatives and partners, with the ribbon cut by Pearl’s local leadership team alongside the director of Hurghada International Airport, Major General Pilot Murad Mohammed al-Sayed.
Jo Harrison, senior vice president of Pearl Lounge transformation at Menzies Aviation, said, “It was a pleasure to celebrate the opening of our new Pearl Lounge in Hurghada with our team, partners and guests. As more travelers look for high-quality airport experiences, we’re continuing to invest in lounges that combine comfort, great service and local touches that define the Pearl Elevated Travel brand.”
General Ahab Elaziz, general manager for Egypt at Menzies Aviation, added, “Egypt has been an important market for us for more than 15 years, and we’re proud to open our first lounge under the refreshed Pearl brand. This investment reflects our long-term commitment to the country and our ambition to create even better experiences for passengers traveling through Egypt. I’d also like to thank our airport partners for their continued support as we invest in and grow our lounge offering in Egypt.”
Menzies’ Pearl Lounge network now spans 53 lounges in 18 countries.
