Gerald R Ford International Airport in Michigan has partnered with Clear Channel Airports to provide an in-airport TV network called GRR-TV. The localized television content will allow local businesses and brands operating in Michigan to showcase products and services to the two million passengers who use the airport each year.

Clear Channel Airports, a subsidiary of media firm iHeartMedia, combines content in the form of ‘mini-sodes’ from major TV networks including ABC, FOX, NBC, E! and PGA Tour, with local business and airport promotions. The ClearVision service is also in operation at Louis-Armstrong New Orleans International, Raleigh-Durham International, Cleveland-Hopkins International and Dallas Love Field airports.

Brian Ryks, executive director for Gerald R Ford Airport, said, “Launching GRR-TV supports our brand promise and helps solidify that ‘getting there is better here.’ Coming off our 50th anniversary celebration, this in-airport TV network further contributes to our expansion projects and contributes toward an elite airport status with an eye toward passenger conveniences.”

Jon Sayer, president of Clear Channel Airports, said, “Adding GRR to our ClearVision portfolio underscores our ongoing commitment to helping airports across the country reach their goals. The addition of in-airport TV to the growing list of amenities at GRR will be a significant contributor to the airport’s goals for providing enhanced amenities and creating new business opportunities.”
