AGS Airports has confirmed that Gavin Williams has been appointed managing director – operations at Glasgow Airport. Williams will assume his new role on January 1, 2026, reporting directly to AGS CEO Ronald Leitch.
He joins from Southampton Airport where he held the position of managing director – operations since February 2024. Prior to joining AGS, Gavin spent five years with the Manchester Airports Group (MAG), where he held various operational roles at East Midlands, London Stansted and Manchester airports.
Leitch said, “During his time at Southampton, Gavin has demonstrated strong leadership, overseeing passenger growth and the addition of a host of new routes.
“He will join Glasgow at what will be a pivotal moment in its development as we embark on our ambitious terminal transformation and expansion program. This will see us deliver best in class operational and retail facilities for the millions of passengers who travel through our airport, and I am looking forward to working with Gavin in the years ahead.”
Commenting on his appointment, Williams said, “This is an exciting time for Glasgow Airport, and I am relishing the opportunity of leading the team as we undertake what will be the largest capital investment program in the airport’s history.”
