K2, Inc.’s Security Screening Group has overseen the relocation of the Concourse C security checkpoint at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.
Working alongside Fortune Electrical Construction, Lee County Port Authority, Manhattan Construction Company and the local Transportation Security Administration (TSA) team, K2 technicians relocated five lanes over three nights.
This effort supports ongoing terminal improvements designed to improve the passenger experience from curb to gate.
K2 has also completed a security equipment deployment at LaGuardia Airport in New York. KVC Services Inc served as the rigging partner for the project, ensuring the safe and controlled movement of screening systems for LaGuardia Gateway Partners in support of TSA aviation worker screening operations.
The systems moved and positioned at LaGuardia included Leidos B220 explosives trace detectors and Liberty Defense Hexwave screening systems.
