Security and scanning technology developer Analogic has unveiled its latest generation checkpoint computer tomography (CT) scanner for screening carry-on items at airports.
The Analogic checkpoint CT system aims to double passenger throughput while allowing passengers to leave their liquids and laptops in their bags.

“After 9-11, the US government came to Analogic asking us to engineer a system based on our CT technology that could auto detect threats in baggage headed to an aircraft, and that technology is now used in over 1,000 systems across the world. CT has become the gold standard for high-speed automatic threat detection screening for checked luggage at airports worldwide; why not at the checkpoint?”
