Security specialist Idemia has deployed its first MorphoFace biometric solution in Europe following the installation of several units at Oslo Airport in Norway.
The biometric technology has been fitted to the airport’s new automated border control (ABC) gates in departures, and captures facial features while passengers are still on the move.
Driven by Idemia’s MorphoWAY software solution, the project was executed in close cooperation with airport operator Avinor, the Norway Police and local technology partner Seca Solutions, part of Dormakaba Group.
In addition to controlling the departure process, MorphoWAY helps provide a remote monitoring solution for the Norwegian Police with alerts issued to support border processes.
