Restaurateur HMSHost, a subsidiary of Italian catering company Autogrill, has been awarded a 10-year food-service concession at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.

The contract will run from 2020 to 2030 and includes the continued operation of 43 points of sale, which posted revenues of approximately US$120m in 2015, and an improvement of the offering to achieve further growth in revenues over the contract term.

Thanks to the strong partnership linking us, we’ve been able to open prize-winning restaurants with a unique culinary offering and excellent customer service which have put Charlotte Airport on the world map.”

Some of the food and beverage offerings currently operated by HMSHost at the airport include 1897 Market, Dale Jr’s Whisky River, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Brookwood Farms BBQ, Beaudevin, and Starbucks.
