IDEMIA Public Security and Elenium have signed a memorandum of understanding to combine Elenium’s self-service automation platform with IDEMIA Public Security’s biometric passenger processing and baggage identification technologies.
The companies aim to create a unified identity layer across every airport touchpoint, from check-in and bag drop, through security, to airline and airport lounge access and boarding. Baggage management processes will be digitalized and automated through the use of AI powered identification systems.
IDEMIA Public Security has also formed a partnership with Trinsic to accelerate the adoption of mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) across the USA. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) accepts compliant mobile driver’s licenses and digital IDs at more than 250 federalized airports. Passengers can scan a QR code or tap their phone on a reader for identity verification.
